When you read through the different services that we offer you may ask yourself what the difference is between our mold removal services and our mold remediation services. We have explained this difference in other parts of the site, but we are going to do so again to make sure it’s clear. There are certain areas of your home where the presence of mold is going to be basically natural. We need to make sure that the type of mold that is there is essentially harmless and we need to limit its presence. Mold removal services are frequently offered in case we spot black mold or mold in unusual areas.
Will You Remove Drywall Panels?
One of the reasonable fears that people have regarding our mold removal procedures is that we are going to end up tearing down their homes to get rid of the mold. Obviously that is not ideally what we are going to want to do. If we are dealing with black mold or mildew it may be the best thing that we can do. We would rather remove a part of the drywall than have this be a recurring issue.
How To Know Whether You Need Removal or Remediation
Usually, the difference is going to reside on the type of mold that we are dealing with and where it happens to be located. Again, if we are talking about harmful black mold, removal is usually the best option. If we are talking about mold that is not as harmful in a crawl space that is not really affecting other parts of your home remediation can be the best option. Mainly because it is not going to involve having to at times remove building materials from your home. This can sound a bit drastic, but that is very much the way that things go.
Black Mold Removal
We already talked a bit about how we may have to remove drywall panels in the event that we find black mold. When we know that we are dealing with black we are typically going to want to clear the area for the removal process. We don’t want to have to be dealing with the removal of the mold while you are sitting there having lunch a couple of feet away. We have a very strict safety protocol that we follow in these procedures. Which, usually includes vacating the property at least for a short period of time.
Does My Insurance Cover This?
Every time that we talk about having to vacate the property for a procedure we get questions about insurance covering hotel fees and things of that nature. All that we say to that, is that everything is going to depend on your particular insurance policy. These are all things though, that we are going to go over before we do anything to your home. Just to be sure that there is not going to be any trouble with any type of paperwork. We’ve worked with a variety of insurance companies in the past. We don’t have too much trouble with that.
