As with most of the services that we provide when we are called upon to resolve potential mold development issues in an area that has suffered considerable water damage we are going to need to perform a very thorough inspection. We are talking about literally looking under every rock. The last thing that we want is for you to go on ahead and install new carpets for example then have to take them apart because there is mold or other things growing underneath them. That is pretty much the reason why our services are so important in these types of situations.

Whenever there is water damage many people want to act quickly and try and get everything back to normal as soon as possible. We get it if we are talking about your home, you are going to want to be able to get everything just as it was quickly. The problem with going too fast is that you might miss some of the issues that could stem from the flooding and plague your home for years. That is why we urge you to give us a call virtually as soon as you can. That way we can go through a thorough inspection process and find all of those areas that could give you fits down the line!
As we mentioned before one of the common mistakes that we see is that people will just dry out the home and think everything is going to be ok. Part of a restoration process is actually the teardown stage. One of the things that we take pride in is being able to spot which floors, carpets, or even drywall or stucco need to be removed as it has been heavily damaged. A lot of times with water damage we see really battered framework and insulation material that inevitably are going to be filled with mold if they are not removed.
When your home goes through water damage you can’t just dry everything out and hope that nothing bad is ever going to happen again. It’s essentially better to be safe than sorry. That is why we offer full home sanitization procedures. That way, we don’t necessarily have to wait for mold to develop in one place to be able to get rid of it. What we are going to be doing is essentially preventing mold from forming.
Some people won’t call us after their home has gone through water damage unless they see mold or start experiencing some of those things that are heavy indicators of the presence of mold. Odors, and things of that nature, that are totally unpleasant. As we just mentioned the reason why it is important to give us a call in time is to give us a chance to minimize the possibilities of allowing mold to develop. If we are able to create an environment that is not ideal for mold development we have a better chance of stopping it in its tracks.
